Maz Maddox
Runes, Ruin & Redemption
March 13
I get a little gushy when it comes to this author. I’m entranced by the world Maz has created. In Runes, Ruin and Redemption we catch up with Stallion Ridge town drunk Sebastian(who is so much more than he appears), recently saved and healed manticore Lucas and town doctor Elliot. We’ve met all these men before and the author notes that while the romance itself in contained within this novel, it is connected to an overarching story line and you’ll probably get the most enjoyment if you read books one and two of the Stallion Ridge series. I’m saying read them all because they’re incredible and you will not regret it. Back to RR&R, the blend of familiar characters and a whole new group in a fantastic new setting is perfect. We move into the bayou and that brings so much mystery and magic to this story. I fell HARD for a newly introduced character and even harder for the relationship growing between our three heroes. One of my favourites of the year for sure.
Blurb:
Redemption has long evaded the former Enforcer, Sebastian.
Viewed as a monster, Sebastian has roamed the country in hiding, running from his bloody past and failures. A series of mistakes has left him hopelessly lost and waist deep in dark, uncharted territory. In order to escape certain death, he makes a deal that may seal his fate.
Lucas has been chasing after his heart for years. Sebastian has been a ghost he cannot grasp and the demons of his past are closing in. Joined by Elliot, a charming and mysterious doctor, the pair wades into darkness and untold dangers.
Lucas had expected to face all manner of foes on his way to save Sebastian.
He didn’t expect Elliot to be the missing piece of the puzzle.
